Nvidia and Other Chips Stocks Are Flying

Wall Street is piling into chip stocks again after a brief end-of-year pause.

The iShares Semiconductor ETF was up 3.7% shortly after the market opened. It rose nearly 3% on Friday. Super Micro Computer and Micron Technology were the S&P 500’s top stocks to start the day. Nvidia, Advanced Micro Devices, Lam Research, Applied Materials, Broadcom, and ASML Holding were all rallying.

“A strong Tech and Semi open is one thing, but you need to see a strong close and follow through into rest of week,” writes Mizuho analyst Jordan Klein.
