Stocks Are Rising. Tech Leads the Santa Claus Rally.

The stock market was mostly higher to start the holiday-shortened Tuesday session.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was hovering around breakeven. The S&P 500 was up 0.2%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.3%. As has been the case for much of December, technology stocks were leading the pack.

The yield on the 2-year Treasury note was up to 4.357%. The 10-year yield was 4.628%.
