Stocks Are Roaring Higher to Kick Off the New Year

Talk about a bounceback.

The Nasdaq Composite surged higher after its initial gains evaporated in Thursday morning trading. The tech-heavy index was up 1% and rising shortly after 10 a.m. ET.

The S&P 500 was up 0.8%, while the Dow was up 300 points, or 0.7%.
